Family Gift Baskets - How To Create Them

Family Gift Baskets make great gifts for the whole family. When you're giving a family type gift, you want to consider each member of the family and give something, either that they will all enjoy collectively, or you can include at least one item for each person.

We have given a gift basket that included a family DVD, some microwave popcorn, and some popcorn shaped gummy bears. I was trying to avoid giving too much candy, but you can always include some candy bars too. That way, the family could enjoy a movie night together.

We have also received a family gift bag. Included in it were chocolates for the guys in our family, and Christmas socks for my daughter and myself. There was also a "collective" stuffed dog that bore a strong resemblance to our little dog. He looks like a stuffed animal himself - small, white and fluffy!

Some other possibilities for creating gift baskets for the whole family are to include a game they can play together, a deck of cards and some delicious snacks.

You might want to give a basket that contains the ingredients of a great meal. The fixings for a pizza with a nice pizza cutter would be fun. Or the ingredients to make a Mexican dinner. Maybe they are a family who has a sweet tooth. Give them a basket of cookie mix and some accessories like cookie cutters, tube frosting and sprinkles.

How about a book basket? Giving a book that the family can all read together is a great way to give some special time and encourage a love of reading and adventure.

You can really have some fun with this. I love creating and giving gifts that would appeal to the whole family. Gift baskets is one easy and attractive way to do it.

Today, with all the activities pulling at family time, they need all the encouragement they can get to spend some time together.
